WEPTECH elektronik leads the way in the development and production of innovative technologies and systems for wireless communication, antenna design, antenna measurement and radio system certification. WEPTECH offers hardware and software solutions for wireless M-Bus / OMS, M-Bus, mioty® and Thread technologies, as well as complex cellular solutions from 2G via 4G to Narrowband IoT.
The production of sophisticated products is one of our core competences. We own modern, fully automated assembly lines on a production area of 3,500 square meters.
WEPTECH is a member of the executive board of the OMS Group, a Full-Member of the mioty® alliance as well as a member of the German Fachverband Elektronik-Design (FED e.V.) and work strictly according to the IPC guidelines.
Since 1994, WEPTECH has been developing, manufacturing and testing high-quality electronics and offering customers a holistic range of services. With decades of experience in electronics manufacturing and continuous technical enhancements of production methods, WEPTECH has extensive know-how in the fields of SMD and THT assembly, special soldering techniques (eg vacuum vapor-phase soldering), test development and assembly.

OMS Group
WEPTECH as board member
The Open Metering System (OMS) is the only system definition across Europe which integrates all media (electricity, gas, heat and water incl. submetering) into one system. It was developed by the industry in order to guarantee a future-proof communication standard and interoperability between all the meter products.
The OMS-Group e. V. is a community of interest of associations, presently figawa annd KNX, with enterprises in the area of metering relevant to accounting. With the "OMS metering system specification" the OMS-Group has developed and open, vendor independent standard for communications interfaces and basic requirements.
Since May 2007, several work groups of the Open Metering initiative have tested the application of existing norms for interoperable communication between measurement systems and have compiled additions and concretisations. For the data transfer defined as primary communication between the actual meters and the data concentrator (e.g. MUC), the currently applicable norm EN 13757-x was identified.
It describes M-Bus as a physical interface, both hard-wired and wireless, as well as the data protocol. Both the OMS specification and the KNX standard use the norm EN 13757-4 for wireless communication. Both measurement data and data from the building automation sector can be transferred via the same system.
As a board member of the OMS Group, WEPTECH makes key contributions to the definition of the OMS-specification. so you have the confidence of buying a product that is 100% OMS-compatible every time!
