Review: ZVEI metering days in Fulda
This year, WEPTECH was represented at the ZVEI metering days. On October 9th and 10th , the latest trends in smart meters were discussed in Fulda. Interesting solutions and exciting presentations made the participants eagerly look forward to the imminent roll-out of intelligent measuring systems.
Thomas Bareiß, Parliamentary State Secretary at the BMWi, gave the participants some cause for hope that the rollout will finally come after a long waiting period: "Digitalization and the smart meter are the heart of the intelligent energy transition. Therefore, the legal rollout must start in 2019. "
"This marks the beginning of a new era in the field of smart meters," says Wolfgang Esch, Sales Manager WEPTECH and Member of the Executive Board of the OMS Group e. V. "The OMS interface will also be more important in this context, as OMS is set on the LMN interface of the Smart Meter Gateway."
