Enlit Europe 2025, one of Europe's most important energy events, opened its doors at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Spain. As a platform for the entire energy spectrum, the trade fair brought together policy makers, grid operators, start-ups, cities, and citizen-led projects under one roof.

This year's edition took place at a crucial moment: digitalization, system integration, and regulatory clarity form the backbone of the EU's clean energy goals. WEPTECH at Enlit Europe 2025

Of course, WEPTECH was attending in Bilbao with a new trade fair appearance and a fresh stand concept. All new components of the Weptech Metering Ecosystem were presented. The following attracted particular interest:

CHENOA – Communication adapter with dual stack: OMS over mioty® & OMS over wM-Bus

ORIOL – Multi meter adapter for gas, heat & water

KOLIBRI – Product highlight: a brand new wM-Bus optical head for electricity meters for reading consumption values via infrared interface

In addition to product presentations, the trade fair offered a diverse program with specialist presentations, hub sessions, themed and country pavilions—an ideal platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and new collaborations.

Expert Talk by Wolfgang Esch

Wolfgang Esch, Head of Sales and Marketing at WEPTECH and Board Member of the OMS Group, gave a presentation on “Interoperability and Flexibility of the OMS Standard” as part of the “EU Project Zone Hub” and provided valuable insights into the future of smart metering infrastructure.

Conclusion:

Enlit Europe 2025 was a great event that once again demonstrated how important cooperation and innovation are for the energy transition.
