Making a difference together
In May, our employees organized an internal cake sale with great dedication. There was lots of baking – and just as much buying. Thanks to the many wonderful cake donations, a total of €650 was raised!
From the very beginning, it was clear that the proceeds would benefit a local, non-profit organization. Everyone had the opportunity to submit suggestions and then vote via a survey. The decision fell on the Kinder- und Jugendhospizdienst Südpfalz Windspiel in Landau.
Yesterday, we had the chance to personally hand over the donation on site and gained some very meaningful insights. The service supports families with children and young people who have life-limiting illnesses, as well as families in which a parent is seriously ill.
We were especially impressed by the time, care, and support provided to these families – largely on a voluntary basis – whether in everyday life, in conversations, or with organizational matters.
