Industry 4.0 you can touch

The technical school for digitization and networked processes founded by BBS SÜW last year combines the areas of computer science and electronics and places particular emphasis on the close integration of theory and practice. For this reason, WEPTECH supported the BBS in the purchase of "PAUL" - a training demonstrator that makes production and automation a playful experience. The model developed by the Kompetenzzentrum Kaiserslautern lets the user slip into various work roles from the industrial environment - customer, worker, production manager or warehouse clerk.

Headmistress Petra Reuter thanks for the numerous donations, which underline the close cooperation with the dual partners in education and training. “Our goal is to use the Technologie-Netzwerk Südpfalz to create links between actors from business, science and school.“

"The cooperation of the technology network with the vocational school SÜW in this project is exemplary. Already during the establishment of the technical school for digitalization there was a close exchange. The acquisition of the PAUL demonstrator for the school is also a joint effort of the Technologie-Netzwerk Südpfalz and the four network partners WEPTECH (Landau), Stadler & Schaaf (Offenbach), ITK (Rülzheim) and Evias (Bad Bergzabern). Special thanks to the companies in our region for this generous support, ”said District Administrator Dietmar Seefeldt.

With the support of the vocational schools and specifically the BBS SÜW, the participating member of the network make an active contribution to the training of the urgently needed specialists of tomorrow.
